PRINT Magazine, Editorial: Behind the Scenes

On Sunday I got together with a fab team of ladies for a rock ‘n’ roll vibe fashion story for a great NZ mag called Print. you can check it out here! http://printmagazine.co.nz/ We had a beautiful day of sunshine finally! Silly London weather lately has been terrible…but we escaped the bustling city and headed out to Hadleigh Castle for a day. Was so nice to see some gorg views and breathe in the fresh countryside! 

The story will be launched in the next issue, coming a little later in the year. But for now here are some snaps from the day!

Super packed day, a little stressful…but we got all the shots we needed and great ones at that! Had some amazing designer pieces, with great styling by Tom Bloomfield, also the editor of Fussed. Lovely makeup by Rachael Bromage, and our haunting beauty was Lexi @ Select Models. Full editorial live 1st of May!

Behind The Scenes: CandyPOP Submission

A sneak peek at behind the scenes from our little CandyPOP submission shoot a couple of weekends ago for the next issue of Ballad Of… Magazine. We had such fun! and ooooh the best part was eating stuff at the end…mmm :) I’m a MEGA sweets fanatic.

Lovely creative work from both Michelle Dacillo (Makeup) and Kazu Shimomura (Hair). Our fab model was the lovely Jane Etheridge. Had another shoot with this gorg kiwi gal yesterday which i’ll be putting up some BTS shots from soon too!

B E H I N D  T H E  S C E N E S : Spring Beauty

Lovely beauty shoot this week! and the first shoot using my new lighting kit! I still defo prefer shooting outdoors and without lighting….but it was great practice, and really god results too! Can’t wait to show you the finals.. :)

We shot at this gorrrgeous studio apartment near Chelsea, thanks to Adam for letting us borrow his crash pad for the day! Really happy with how everything went, Neil Gogoi the hair genius, brought some cool tropical style leaves that he created amazing things with, and I brought along some flowers too. Rachael Bromage did such a lovely job with the makeup, beautiful colours and gradients. We kept it very soft with colours and lighting, but with nice strong contrasts through structured styling with leaves. Our lovely stunnning model was Jane Etheridge, a kiwi gal! Yaaay the kiwis :B She looked amazing..

Can’t post pics yet as we are sending this one in for submission, but heres some snaps from the day! I also did a nice bit of filming too so will put that together soon when I have time. Have been busy in London a lot this week, and meeting up with my girly Kate tomorrow to hit some exhibitions!

B E H I N D  T H E  S C E N E S : Dreams & Nightmares editorial

Upcoming fashion editorial for NZ’s PRINT Magazine. Shot this one earlier in the year and have been holding on to it for soo long! Can’t wait to finally show it, one of my favs. Should be out this month I think.

Shot in NZ around Auckland’s amazing and surreal Muriwai forests. Awesome location, stretches of forest graveyards, hot burnt grass, sand and wind blown cliffs, next time i’m back i’m shooting there again for sure. Awesome day with the gorgeous and super cool model Lauren Marriot @ NOVA Models, and an very talented makeup artist/hair stylist Natalie Dent. Styling was done by the fabulous up and coming Rachel Bergersen who unfortunetly couldnt be there on the day, but pre organised it all for me, luckily Natalie helped out heaps! Full shoot (finally) very very soon. I swear.

Thanks to Michelle for the lovely images! It’s nice to have a few of me shooting seeing as i’m usually the one behind the camera for both the shoot and behind the scenes stuff! 

B E H I N D  T H E  S C E N E S : Under Open Skies

A peek at yesterdays Wintery fashion editorial, inspired by traveling gypsy women. A nice frost early start for everyone! Got on the train from Essex in the dark to head towards Roehampton to meet the girls, Neil, and Michelle at her place. Michelle, our lovely makeup artist had crumpets ready and coffee’s to give everyone a nice jump start to the day! We definitely lucked out with the weather…clear blue skies for most of the day, amazing! But it was fricken freezing…Kitty, Rosie, and Gina our gorgeous models were troopers! I got stopped twice while shooting at the park by patrol officers asking to see my permit! But everything turned out ok :D Was a great shoot, it helps so much to have a good team, and everyone worked really hard putting it all together and being quick so we didn’t waste any sunshine time! Full editorial on the way soon…..
