It’s nice to get back to basics every so often with some casual tests, and I shot with a very multi talented lovely guy this week, Mr Angus Powell. Singer/songwriter/actor/model/you name it! Was fab to pop out into the snow while it still hung about! A little chilly…but nothing us tough kiwi’s can’t handle. Glamour Puss - Lucire Magazine 2012
So mid last year I shot two editorials for Lucire Magazine http://lucire.com/ one of which these snaps belong to, Glamour Puss. A great day at our lovely stylists parents place Sophie Kirkwood, with the gorgeousness of Jane Elderidge, kiwi girl @ Clyne Models. Amazing hair by Neil Gogoi, and stunning makeup talent by Kate O’Reilly.

So…it’s safe to say my journal skills on here for 2012 were pretty slack…as with all brand new year beginnings it’s all go go go! and then nothing…NOT THIS YEAR. This year i’m going to keep on top of things, keep everything updated and start putting together more useful information, behind the scenes, and keep a spotless gallery on here with new works!
I didn’t spend as much time last year shooting the tons of editorials I wanted to get in, it was more of an initiation into a new country, industry, and world of photography. I moved in to London at the beginning of 2012, and started fresh with new people, teams, agencies….everything. I knew it would take some time to really get stuck in, so I worked hard last year to get to a point now where I can really dive in and take advantage of all the resources i’ve managed to get together. So this year many things are on the books, and big things planned!!
I’m going to really jump into fantastic editorials this year, using my love of location to create some wicked stories, and hopefully travel a bit too! My ultimate goal with my work is to compile a portfolio of gorgeous location editorials taken around the world in amazing places with amazing landscapes…combining my love of landscape and portraiture.
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and new year…i’ve got so many huge goals this year, like I always say what ever you put your mind to you can do, so lets do it!!!!!

DEVILLED…Behind the Scenes
The latest behind the scenes from a recent Cruella Deville inspired editorial, shot with a fab team, and lovely model! - Morven @ Premier Models. One of my first proper studio fashion editorials…I finally decided to brave the great indoors! I’ll always prefer being out and about on location but the shoot went pretty well anyway :)
Lovely styling as always from Sophie Kirkwood, and fab makeup of course by Michelle Dacillo! A new addition this time with great hair by Stephen Lacey, a very talented guy! and he brought his super gorg friendly gal pooch Tn along for the day, and we decided to have her in for a couple of shots! Good choice too…but can’t show anything just yet! Here are some sneaks from the day though for now..

PRINT Magazine, Editorial: Behind the Scenes
On Sunday I got together with a fab team of ladies for a rock ‘n’ roll vibe fashion story for a great NZ mag called Print. you can check it out here! http://printmagazine.co.nz/ We had a beautiful day of sunshine finally! Silly London weather lately has been terrible…but we escaped the bustling city and headed out to Hadleigh Castle for a day. Was so nice to see some gorg views and breathe in the fresh countryside!
The story will be launched in the next issue, coming a little later in the year. But for now here are some snaps from the day!

Behind The Scenes: CandyPOP Submission
A sneak peek at behind the scenes from our little CandyPOP submission shoot a couple of weekends ago for the next issue of Ballad Of… Magazine. We had such fun! and ooooh the best part was eating stuff at the end…mmm :) I’m a MEGA sweets fanatic.
Lovely creative work from both Michelle Dacillo (Makeup) and Kazu Shimomura (Hair). Our fab model was the lovely Jane Etheridge. Had another shoot with this gorg kiwi gal yesterday which i’ll be putting up some BTS shots from soon too!

B E H I N D T H E S C E N E S : Spring Beauty
Lovely beauty shoot this week! and the first shoot using my new lighting kit! I still defo prefer shooting outdoors and without lighting….but it was great practice, and really god results too! Can’t wait to show you the finals.. :)
We shot at this gorrrgeous studio apartment near Chelsea, thanks to Adam for letting us borrow his crash pad for the day! Really happy with how everything went, Neil Gogoi the hair genius, brought some cool tropical style leaves that he created amazing things with, and I brought along some flowers too. Rachael Bromage did such a lovely job with the makeup, beautiful colours and gradients. We kept it very soft with colours and lighting, but with nice strong contrasts through structured styling with leaves. Our lovely stunnning model was Jane Etheridge, a kiwi gal! Yaaay the kiwis :B She looked amazing..
Can’t post pics yet as we are sending this one in for submission, but heres some snaps from the day! I also did a nice bit of filming too so will put that together soon when I have time. Have been busy in London a lot this week, and meeting up with my girly Kate tomorrow to hit some exhibitions!
